WebMay 10, 2024 · On the old trial skis there was a smooth finish but the different base material on the Voiles hasn't come up so well. The end cutting edge on the bit has a negative rake and that may account for it. I've done a bit of smoothing out by hand with a carbide wood-turning cutter but it's slow and the improvement isn't huge.
